Deion Sanders reacts to Travis Hunter striking Heisman pose vs. UCF
Deion Sanders believes that Travis Hunter is one of the best players in all of college football. After his performance through the first five games this season, it’s hard to argue otherwise.
Hunter has starred on both sides of the ball as a cornerback and receiver for the Buffaloes this season and continued to shine in a 48-21 win against UCF on Saturday. He also had a diving interception in the third quarter after which he struck the Heisman pose.
Speaking after the win, Sander addressed the pose from his star while also giving him plenty of praise for his effort.
“We’re really upset because they just told me he needed 10 more yards to consistently have his 100-yard streak,” the Colorado coach said. “We were gonna try to get it to him but we didn’t want to be outlandish or do anything crazy to provoke ignorance. But Travis is OK with it. He’s not playing for that. He’s just playing for, ‘I want to be one of the best players in college football’ and I think he is.”

Hunter finished the contest with nine catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also had two tackles and one pass defended on defense.
Many believe Hunter to be a candidate for the Heisman Trophy and it’s clear he feels his name should be up there as well. Colorado is off to a 4-1 start to the season and will have a bye this upcoming week before facing Kansas State.
