Deone Walker injury status: Final update for Kentucky defender vs. Auburn
Kentucky is set to host Auburn on Saturday and before kickoff, there were eyes on a few key injuries. Specifically Wildcats defensive lineman Deone Walker, who has been listed on the SEC injury report all week. Questionable was the latest designation given out on Friday night but a final decision has been made.
Walker will play against Auburn in a huge boost for Kentucky. In fact, he is not even listed on the injury report released on Saturday evening.
Hugh Freeze‘s unit has found success at times and enjoyed the run game with running back Jarquez Hunter. Not having somebody like Walker in there would have been a blow but now, Kentucky has one of their best players ready to go.
A few other key names are on the report as both teams have multiple names not suiting up. Auburn had five guys ruled out on Friday night, with Kentucky having nine of their own.
You can check out the full Saturday injury report — the final one before kickoff, which is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET. SEC Network will have the broadcast.

Hugh Freeze to coach against Kentucky despite illness
Auburn’s Hugh Freeze will still coach Saturday against Kentucky despite reportedly battling an illness, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed that Freeze is “certainly expected to coach” on Saturday.
“Sources: Auburn coach Hugh Freeze is battling an illness — potentially food poisoning — and didn’t travel with the team to Kentucky yesterday,” Thamel wrote on Twitter. “He’s flying up to Lexington this morning and is expected to coach.”
Whatever Freeze potentially ate, it seems to have subsided and he’ll be in Lexington in time to coach the Tigers against the Wildcats.
