Phoenix Brophy Prep three-star wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, the son of legendary NFL WR Larry Fitzgerald, continues to see his recruitment blow up as he prepares for his senior season.

As he continues to field interest, he’s also locking in visits. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder tells On3 that he’ll head to Ann Arbor and visit Michigan later this month on March 22.

Fitzgerald is coming off a visit to Clemson and has also seen Notre Dame and Florida State this year. Dabo Swinney’s Tigers are red-hot on the recruiting trail and have been a program consistently attached to Fitzgerald’s recruitment alongside the likes of UCLA and Pitt. Fitzgerald is a Pitt Panthers legacy.

Michigan will look to get in the mix, too, and a spring visit will give Sherrone Moore and his staff a chance to up their standing with the wideout.

The soon-to-be senior broke out during his 2024 season at Brophy, catching 52 passes for 720 yards and nine touchdowns. He was a key member of an offense that helped lead the Broncos to a 10-3 season. Brophy finished as the No. 6 team in the state, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

Fitzgerald is the No. 511 overall prospect and No. 78 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in Arizona.

More on Michigan Recruiting

Michigan has three commits in its 2026 class to date: Jacksonville Mandarin four-star cornerback Brody Jennings, Cartersville (Ga.) Cass three-star interior offensive lineman Bear McWhorter and Dallas Parish Episcopal three-star WR Jaydlen Pile.

Jennings was the first to commit, doing so back on July 28. He’s currently an outlier for On3, ranking as the No. 132 recruit and No. 16 corner in the 2026 On300. Other programs are working to flip him from the Wolverines, though, as he’s locked in official visits to Auburn, Alabama, Florida and Georgia in addition to U-M.

Pile then pledged in October. The Lone Star State pass-catcher is now the No. 95 WR in the cycle. McWhorter is the latest to join, as he spurned Alabama for the Maize and Blue on Feb. 28. The 6-foot-3, 308-pounder is the No. 39 IOL in the cycle.

“I have always liked Michigan,” McWhorter told On3’s Chad Simmons. “My first time visiting was January of my freshman year, and they had just won the Joe Moore award, so that had my attention. When they really made their move was in the fall when I was there for the Oregon game. The game didn’t go their way, but I talked more with the coaches, I saw more of the culture and things took off from there.”
