2024 4-star SG Dink Pate signs with G-League Ignite, reclassifies to 2023
Dallas (Texas) Pinkston four-star shooting guard Dink Pate has signed a two-year deal with G-League Ignite. Pate will also reclassify from the 2024 class to 2023.
Pate is the No. 33 overall prospect and No. 9 shooting guard in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Texas.
On3 rates Pate higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. On3 ranks the 6-foot-7, 180-pounder as the No. 18 overall prospect, No. 5 shooting guard and No. 2 player in Texas.

Pate was one of the highest risers following On3’s updated rankings earlier this month going from No. 37 to No. 18.
According to a report from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Pate’s deal makes him the youngest American professional basketball player ever.
