DJ Lagway, Isaiah Bond injury updates: Florida, Texas stars availibility updated on Wednesday report
Florida and Texas will meet this weekend in a game that is critically important for both teams and the injury report will loom large.
Gators quarterback DJ Lagway suffered a hamstring injury against Georgia last weekend and has reportedly been given a chance, however small, to play against the Longhorns. His designation going forward through the week will be important to monitor.
That’s one of several injuries for Florida.
Texas is also dealing with some injuries, though the Longhorns should be a little bit healthier on the injury report given they’re coming off a bye week.

All eyes will be on Lagway and his status on the injury report, as Florida’s chances to win on the road in Austin will take a precipitous drop in the event he is unable to play. At the very least, Lagway figures to miss some valuable practice time as he nurses his hamstring injury.
Other Florida players haven’t been so lucky.
The Gators recently lost star cornerback Jason Marshall to a season-ending shoulder injury, while several others in the secondary have been banged up in recent weeks. Florida could be a bit of a MASH unit in the back end if the injury report is any indication.
Meanwhile, Texas has been hit hardest by injuries in the backfield.
Running backs CJ Baxter, Christian Clark and Velton Gardner have all been ruled out for the season.
Two other players who have appeared on recent injury reports for Texas to keep an eye on are defensive back Andrew Mukuba and receiver Isaiah Bond. Both missed the team’s most recent game against Vanderbilt after being listed as doubtful earlier in the week.
