Does Yale have a chance to land top 100 ranked Blue Cain
Blue Cain is On3’s No. 82 player in the 2023 class. The Knoxville (TN) Catholic guard has played in the last three Tennessee state championships.
“I like to win,” Cain told On3. “I play fast and like to get my teammates involved; a well-rounded game. Paul George and Darius Garland are so fluid; I watch a lot of them and how they play.”
He has taken a few visits and will be coming to a decision soon. On3 caught up with Cain at the Pangos All-American Camp to discuss his decision.
“I’ve taken two official visits, Georgia Tech and Yale,” Cain said. “Those are the only two visits I’m going to take because I’m going to decide in like four days.”
Cain talks recuruitment
Yale: “What an opportunity. I mean, they are a great basketball school, and they’re in the Ivy League. Just the opportunities a degree from there brings you are impressive. They play fast well.”

Georgia Tech: “I got a really good relationship with the coaching staff there. They run a lot of ball screens with fluidity, and they play fast. I fit with that.”
Cain’s take
“The relationship I had with the coaching staff and the players,” Cain said. “That was huge for me. The playing style played a factor for me too.”
On3’s take
Blue Cain has a smooth feel for the game. He plays at his own pace and doesn’t get rushed to get where he is going. Cain has a solid handle as a secondary ball-handler. He shows a confident pull-up jump shot in the half-court and consistent form in catch-and-shoot situations. You would like to see him continue getting stronger and play with more urgency at times, but he has feel on the ball, explosion at the rim, and does take contact well in the paint.
