Mississippi State: “I love how they give the ball to their big a lot and they said the would develop me so I can get to that point.”
TCU: “It’s 40 minutes from where I live so it’s still pretty local. All my family and friends are here and the coaching staff has been recruiting me hard since my freshman year.”
Georgia Tech & Xavier: “They’re kind of new compared to the rest of these schools. They started recruiting me this summer, but they have been very consistent and took the time to kinda get to know me.”
Scouting Report
“Doryan Onwuchekwa has a big frame and broad shoulders with solid length. Has good hands – albeit small – and touch with consistent range. Can stretch the floor out to beyond the arc, off the catch, and he puts it on the deck under control. He can drift and get too perimeter-oriented at times. When he plays close to the basket, he is a good area rebounder and a good outlet passer. He has range on catch-and-shoot threes. Has some upside to slide his feet on defense. He is still figuring out his game, but the consistency continues to become more and more frequent.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
