Drive The Lane Podcast: Ohio State basketball struggles, Jon Diebler conversation

In this week’s episode of Drive The Lane, we talked with former Ohio State Buckeye, Jon Diebler. In 4 years at Ohio State, Diebler averaged 10.7 points for his career, and had a 3 point field goal percentage of 41.6 which is 5th all time in Big Ten History. Diebler lead the Big Ten in 3 point field goal percentage his sophomore, junior and senior year and his senior year during the 2010-11 season he lead the entire NCAA in 3-point field goal percentage at 50.2%! Diebler finished his career with 374 total threes, which is still the Big Ten record. Diebler played at Ohio State from 2007-2008, and he made it to one Final Four in his final season.

In his career over seas, Jon Diebler averages 9.2 points per game for his career, shooting the ball at 47.4% from three. The greatest college shooter of all time is clearly still making a living from beyond the arc. Diebler was also on the TBT team “Carmen’s Crew” that won the $2 million dollar prize last summer.

There’s no question Ohio State Basketball is struggling. Since beating Kentucky in Vegas on 21/21, they have lost 4 straight games, averaging only 56.2 points per game. The teams they have lost to are West Virginia, Wisconsin, Maryland and Indiana. Interestingly enough, Kentucky is 4-0 since they lost to Ohio State, including a win over Louisville.

The Buckeyes will look to turn things back around Tuesday night against Nebraska.
