Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle five-star tight end Duce Robinson has already taken official visits to Alabama, Georgia, Texas and USC. He shared Thursday at hotel check-in for the Under Armour All-America Game that Oregon may receive an unofficial visit.

“That’s one of the schools we’re really trying to get back down to because we haven’t been down there in a while,” Robinson said. “We weren’t able to get to a game or anything. We’re trying to get down there again.”

Robinson hopes to get back to the four programs that already received officials from him, as well as the Ducks. The five-star, who took an unofficial visit to Oregon on July 28, has a positive perspective of the program.

“I really enjoy (head) coach (Dan) Lanning and (tight ends) coach (Drew) Mehringer,” said Robinson, the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 1 tight end in the 2023 On3 Consensus. “I really like what they’re doing with that program. But we’ll see how everything shakes out in terms of being able to get up there for a visit.”

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound pass catcher hopes to pursue both baseball and football on the profession level. As a result, playing two sports in college is a very likely possibility.

Robinson discusses his other finalists

Regarding the Longhorns, Robinson has built relationships with multiple signees. One of them is New Orleans Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning, the No. 1 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. Robinson also likes what he sees in Texas.

“Texas, I have a great relationship with a bunch of the kids in their class and a bunch of the guys they have there already too,” Robinson said. “I’m really excited to see what they are building because in the two years Coach Sark has been there you are seeing a lot of production. And I think they are going to have a really fun team.”

USC got Robinson’s first official in June. He still has a strong connection with the Trojans.

“I still love USC,” Robinson said. “That’s probably the class I’m closest with in terms of relationships that I have with guys. I’ve been super close with (head) coach (Lincoln) Riley since his time at Oklahoma. It’d be a lot of fun to play for him. USC’s still really, really high on my list.”

On his previous official visit to Georgia, Robinson expressed praise of Georgia tight ends coach Todd Hartley and their two tight end set of Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington. That is a key reason for his interest in the Bulldogs.

“The production the tight ends have had,” Robinson said. “I think coach Hartley is one of top tight end coaches in the country. And it just feels like a family there. They truly love each other, and want to see each other succeed.”

Like Georgia, Robinson expressed praise of Alabama’s tight ends coach. He has a good relationship with Joe Cox.

“Coach Cox, he’s great,” Robinson said. “He’s another one of the top tight end coaches in the country. He’s still super young and up-and-coming, but I think he really cares for his guys. He really loves his guys and he’s teaching them all the right things on how to be successful.”
