The Demon Deacons still remain as one of the best shooting teams in the ACC, ranking third in the ACC in field goal percentage at 46.8%. They’re led by senior guard Tyree Appleby, whose 17.7 points per game rank first on the conference and 6.1 assists per game tie for first. He had an 18 point, eight assist game against the Blue Devils in their last matchup, and will likely be a key catalyst again in this one.
Wake Forest will be looking to bounce back from three straight losses, but Duke is fresh off of a dominant 86-43 performance against Georgia Tech. Center and leading scorer Kyle Filipowski had 18 points in the win, maintaining a seven-game stretch of scoring in double figures.
He had a disappointing nine-point performance in his last game against Wake Forest shooting 28.6% from the field, but guard Jaylen Blakes matched a career high with 17 points versus the Demon Deacons, and could give them problems again on Tuesday.
