Louisville forward Kamari Lands got a rough lesson about strangers looking to mock him, as his dating profile became a Duke fan’s poster. Lands was with his team in Durham ahead of Monday’s game, and messaged someone he met on the dating app Tinder looking to meet up with her while he was in town.

Unfortunately for Lands, the private messages didn’t stay private as screenshots of his dating profile and messages were blown up large for all to see on a fan’s poster in the gym. The viral image even caught the attention of NBA star Donovan Mitchell who laughed at his alma mater’s embarrassing moment.

The 19-year-old freshman learned a tough and embarrassing lesson over the weekend as his messages asking his Tinder match to “come my way” on Sunday night were blown up in his face on Monday. Thinking that he was simply asking a girl to come and visit him — apparently at the team hotel — he messaged his match asking her to come to the address he sent her.

Adding to his rough night, the messages ended with him asking if she was actually going to come visit after all, to apparently no response last night.

According to the Courier Journal‘s Brooks Holton, Louisville players and coaches saw the sign before the game and got a laugh out of the freshman’s misfortune. For an extra dose of embarrassment, it seemed that former Louisville star and current NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell got a kick out of the story as he responded to the image online with laughing emojis.

In the grand scheme of things, the whole ordeal could’ve been more embarrassing for the freshman than it was and he learned a valuable lesson about social media and ACC rivalries — at the cost of college basketball fans knowing he’s a dog person and non-smoker.
