Duncanville High is coming off a historic 2023 campaign, as it claimed a second consecutive Texas state championship for the first time in school history.

Headlined by the nation’s No. 3 overall prospect, Oregon Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver commit Dakorien Moore, the Panthers are well positioned to rule its division in the Lone Star State for a third year in a row. Top in-state competition will look to dethrone Reginald Samples’ program this fall.

The highlight matchup on the Panthers’ schedule is set for Oct. 11, as they’ll head to DeSoto (Texas) for a date with the fellow back-to-back champion Eagles. A big clash against St. Frances Academy (Md.) will come following the season-opener on the road at South Oak Cliff (Texas) on Sept. 6.

Two 5-stars set to lead the Panthers

All eyes will be on the Duncanville offense this season. Five-star quarterback Keelon Russell flipped his commitment from SMU to Alabama at the beginning of June and has since boosted his stock with a big-time performance at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles. He’s now the nation’s No. 26 recruit and No. 5 QB.

Russell will likely always have an open target down field, as Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore is considered by many to be the top athlete in the country. The former LSU pledge committed to Dan Lanning and Oregon earlier this month.

Other top recruits on the roster include:

SMU 3-star safety commit Tyren Polley (No. 607 NATL., No. 55 SAF)
SMU 3-star CB commit Javion Holiday (No. 608 NATL., No. 59 CB)
2026 4-star EDGE Kevin Ford (No. 137 NATL., No. 11 EDGE)
2026 4-star athlete Zachery Turner (No. 292 NATL., No. 28 ATH)
