Dylan Dreiling named CWS MVP, All-NCAA Tournament team announced
For the first time in program history, the Tennessee Volunteers are national champions. While a great overall team performance is required to win in Omaha, one player, in particular, has been dubbed the College World Series MVP. Dylan Dreiling was named the award winner not too long after the final out, being one of the highest honors of his career thus far.
If there was ever a three-game stretch for Dreiling to show up, it was the College World Series Finals. He hit a home run in all three games against Texas A&M, showcasing his power on the biggest stage. Nobody was able to stop Dreiling for the couple of weeks in Omaha and he was rewarded in a big way.

Alongside the CWS MVP, the NCAA also announced the All-Tournament team. Unsurprisingly, a lot of members of Tennessee and Texas A&M are present as they were the final two teams standing. Both teams went 3-0 before the CWS Finals.

Dylan Dreiling lifts national championship trophy for Tennessee
The Tennessee Volunteers just captured their first College World Series national championship in program history. Following another impressive performance, Outfielder Dylan Dreiling was awarded the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award.
While the Volunteers were celebrating their national championship victory over Texas A&M, ESPN’s Kris Budden asked the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player what it felt like to hold the national championship trophy.
“It’s heavier than I thought,” said Dreiling, cracking a smile. “It’s awesome.”
Dreiling was impressive from the plate during the Men’s College World Series. He finished the tournament with 13 hits, bringing in eleven RBIs, and sent three balls over the fence for home runs. In Game 3 against Texas A&M, he had a game-high 3 RBIs, including a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give Tennessee the 6-1 lead.
