Dylan Harper, a five-star combo guard in the class of 2024, has narrowed his list of offers down to five schools: Auburn, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Rutgers.

The 6-foot-5 junior out of Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep has taken official visits to both Indiana and Duke. He’s also visited Rutgers — where his older brother Ron Harper Jr. starred — multiple times unofficially.

Harper is also the son of 5x NBA champion Ron Harper.

In addition to the five schools listed among his top group, Harper also received offers from Michigan, UCLA, Missouri, Texas Tech, among others.

Harper ranks as the No. 4 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3). On3’s evaluators are even higher on him, ranking him 2nd overall in the class.

Dylan Harper breaks down his final schools

Auburn: “What I like about Auburn is how they develop guys and their culture. They get people prepared for the next level and always win. They stand out because of the amount of draft picks I always see that go to Auburn.”

Duke: “Duke stands out to me because they show you what the brotherhood truly means. It’s a great environment and has a great fan base. The staff really shows you how great of a culture it is.”

Indiana: “Indiana has a great basketball culture and a good style of play that I like. Coach Woodson has a great brand of basketball that relates to the next level. The basketball culture there is truly amazing.”

Kansas: “What I like about Kansas is their winning culture. Every time you watch March Madness you always see them past the Sweet 16 or further.”

Rutgers: “What I really like about Rutgers is the bond that they are building over there. The staff is building a family and a brotherhood that I really like and am interested in.”

Scouting Summary

“It is the feel for the game that really pops for Dylan Harper,” On3’s Jamie Shaw writes. “The lefty is a big guard, he has a strong frame with good length. While he lacks top-end burst, he always gets to his spots. Harper has a supreme feel for angles and footwork. His pace is never rushed; he always has a plan with the ball in his hands. He is more of a scorer than a shooter. While he can knock down a spot three, he does need to clean some things up there. Harper is great with angles around the basket and has great balance in the paint. Harper is a good team defender. His father is 5x NBA Champion Ron Harper, and his brother, Ron Harper, Jr., has spent time in the league.”
