The release of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game is right around the corner, dropping next week on July 19 in one of the most highly anticipated video game releases in recent history. And on Wednesday, EA Sports revealed who the Top 100 Players are in the College Football 25 game.

College Football 25’s Top 100 list is loaded with players from the SEC, a conference that got even stronger this with the additions of Texas and Oklahoma. With 29 total SEC players making the cut in the Top 100 to only trail the Big Ten.

Check out who the SEC’s top-rated players are in EA Sports College Football 25 below.

Top SEC Rated SEC Players of College Football 25

1. LT Will Campbell, LSU — 96 OVR

Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

Will Campbell leads the pack for the SEC and is the second-highest-rated player in the entire College Football 25 game. Only trailing Michigan cornerback Will Johnson as two of the three players securing a 96 overall rating.

Campbell is widely regarded as the top offensive lineman in the country entering the season after making an immediate impact as a true freshman for the Tigers. Earning Freshman All-American, Second-Team All-SEC, and Freshman All-SEC honors in 2022 and First-Team All-SEC recognition and a Joe Moore Award Finalist selection last season.

2. DE James Pearce Jr., Tennessee — 95 OVR

Brianna Paciorka(News Sentinel)-USA TODAY Network

Like Campbell, James Pearce Jr. only trails Johnson as the second highest rated defensive player in the game. A dynamic defensive end who many believe could insert himself into the No. 1 overall pick conversation of next year’s draft with a standout season.

Pearce returns to the SEC as the unquestioned best EDGE player in the league after racking up 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks last season. And will likely give quarterbacks virtually problems the same way he does in real life.

3. FS Malaki Starks, Georgia — 95 OVR

Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

Only Ohio State‘s Caleb Downs and Malaki Starks boast 95 overall ratings as safeties in College Football 25. Two of the best athletes and overall defenders in the country that can get the job done in the run and pass game.

Starks took home several First-Team All-American honors last season after recording 52 tackles and three interceptions. Also named as a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award and Jim Thorpe Award last year.

4. RG Tate Ratledge, Georgia — 95 OVR

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Tate Ratledge represents the second Georgia player on the list, one of four in the Top 10 to lead all programs. Tasked with protecting the blind side of one of the best quarterbacks in the country for a second straight season.

Campbell is the only offensive lineman rated higher than Ratledge in College Football 25 and rightfully so. After the 6-foot-6, 310-pounder was a key part of Georgia’s offensive line that was the best in the SEC that allowed just 0.93 sacks per game.

5. WR Luther Burden III, Missouri — 94 OVR

Steve Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

When it comes to purely the wide receiver position, Luther Burden is the top wideout in the game. With cover athlete and two-way player Travis Hunter rated slightly higher overall, but playing wideout and defensive back for the Buffaloes last season.

Burden is the SEC’s top returning wide receiver after catching 86 passes for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns last season. And his 96 speed rating makes him tied for the third-fasted player in the Top 100.

6. LT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas — 94 OVR

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Kelvin Banks is the first SEC newcomer to crack into the Top 25 as the Longhorns join the SEC. And there’s no question that his job will be a little bit harder on a week-to-week basis as he transitions to a new league built on defensive prowess.

Banks was a starter as soon as he arrived in Austin and never looked back with 27 straight starts under his belt ahead of his third college season. Decorated with preseason and postseason All-American and All-Conference honors as a brick wall that will be tough to get past in the game.

7. QB Carson Beck, Georgia — 93 OVR

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Carson Beck is the highest-rated quarterback in the SEC for College Football 25. Trailing Shedeur Sanders by one spot in the Top 100 rankings but sharing a 93 overall rating with the Colorado passer.

Beck is college football’s returning passing yards leader after throwing for 3,941 yards last season. Also throwing 24 touchdowns and just six interceptions as one of the nation’s most efficient passers with a 72.4% completion percentage.

8. OLB Mykel Williams, Georgia — 93 OVR

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Rounding out the doghouse is Mykel Williams, who was one of the most physically imposing defensive forces in the SEC last season at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds.

Williams’ stats from last season don’t jump off the page, ending the year with 18 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. But ask any offensive tackle in the conference who’s had to block him the last two seasons how fun that assignment was.

9. DE Deone Walker, Kentucky — 93 OVR

Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Not many defensive lineman in the country required more attention up front in the SEC than Deone Walker, who led the Wildcats with 12.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks. and eight quarterback hurries despite being frequently double-teamed.

College Football 25 will allow gamers to adjust protections, and making sure four hands are on Walker would not be a bad idea. Rated with 97 strength to make him tied for the strongest rated player in the Top 100.

10. DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss — 93 OVR

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Rounding out the SEC’s Top 10 is defensive tackle Walter Nolen. Who changed locations within the conference this offseason after joining Ole Miss from Texas A&M.

Like many of the top defensive tackles in the country, Nolen’s stats don’t scratch the surface of his impact defensively. But he joins the Rebels fresh off his best season to date with a career-high 37 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks.
