QBsAFI EA 25

The new EA Sports College Football 25 video game is nearly here. With that, more and more information is being released about the game, like player ratings for some of the best players in the game. That includes some of the highest-ranked quarterbacks that fans are going to be able to use in the game once it comes out.

Unsurprisingly, the highly-rated QBs are ones that EA has had some time to properly assess. With that, all of the eight top QBs were starting QBs last season. It’s the position group that most people playing the game are going to care about the most and it’s also one that is the easiest for most fans to debate. Within that group, all were starters at the schools they’re currently at, with the exception of Dillon Gabriel, who transferred from being a starter to a new school where he’s expected to start. That, perhaps, shouldn’t be a surprise given that teams will always do their best to hold onto a good QB.

Notably, this list of the highest-ranked QBs in the new EA Sports College Football 25 game doesn’t have anyone who is ranked better than 93 overall. There are no 99 overall players in the game, regardless of position, in fact. Instead, the highest-ranked QB in the game is 93 overall while none of the QBs among the eight highest ranked are below a 90 overall. So, this is a tight group. On top of that, how EA came to these ratings is unclear, with different QBs having different strengths and weaknesses to take into account.

QB Sheduer Sanders, Colorado 93 Overall

The top-ranked QB in EA Sports College Football 25. This comes in a season where he is hoping to turn into the top NFL Draft pick at the QB position. At the same time, it could raise some eyebrows due to Colorado’s struggles as a team in 2023.

For his part, Sanders flashed the talent that has many people excited about him last season. However, he was playing behind a struggling offensive line and also took way too many sacks, ending the season injured. With that, the end of the season left a bad taste in some people’s mouths. Still, he threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns.

QB Carson Beck, Georgia 93 Overall

Carson Beck has the same rating as Shedeur Sanders in the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game. However, in the actual rankings is coming up just behind Sanders. Still, it’s clear that Beck is one of the best QBs in the country and that’s reflected in his rating.

Carson Beck took the time to develop at Georgia before becoming the starter for the 2023 regular season. There, he found plenty of success but wasn’t able to complete the three-peat. Now, he’s back looking to lead the Bulldogs to a national championship of his own, which plenty of fans will certainly also be competing for in the game.

QB Quinn Ewers, Texas 92 Overall

Just a step behind those first two QBs in Quinn Ewers. Now entering his fourth college season and his third as the starter at Texas, plenty is being expected from Ewers. That’s not surprising, though, after he just took the Longhorns to their first-ever College Football Playoff.

Last season, Ewers threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also ran for five touchdowns. Those are all numbers he’s going to look to improve upon in 2024. If he can do that, and stay healthy, then there’s a good chance that he becomes one of the more intriguing NFL Draft prospects.

QB Dillon Gabriel, Oregon 92 Overall

Dillon Gabriel is now on his third college football team in a now six-year college career. Along the way, he’s always been the starter and put up massive career numbers. So, despite moving around more often than most star QBs tend to, he’s also clearly excellent. That means it’s not a surprise he’s ranked where he is in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

In 2023, as the starter at Oklahoma, he threw for 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns. This season, when he’s expected to lead the Oregon Ducks on offense, his focus will be on the field. However, this rating indicates there’s little doubt that he’s capable.

QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama 90 Overall

Jalen Milroe is in an interesting situation for a QB. Despite struggling so badly he was benched at one point last season, he bounced back to lead Alabama to the College Football Playoff. That improvement is recognized by his EA Sports College Football 25 ranking.

The other major challenge for Milroe is going to be dealing with another coaching change. Head coach Nick Saban retired and Kalen DeBoer took over. With that, came a third offensive coordinator change in as many seasons for him to deal with and adjust to in 2024.

QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss 90 Overal

Jaxson Dart is coming into the 2024 season with big expectations. That’s true both on the field and in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game. For fans, they now know he’s a 90 overall player and is going to be among the best QBs to play with in the game.

On the field, Ole Miss is loaded and looking to compete at the top of the SEC. Dart is going to be a major part of that, with his decision to return after 2023 sparking a lot of excitement in Oxford. That comes a year after he threw for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns while rushing for another eight scores.

QB Jalon Daniels, Kansas 90 Overall

Jalon Daniels, the Kansas QB is among the most interesting players to be highly ranked in EA Sports College Football 25. After all, he only played in three games during the 2023 season after being severely limited due to injuries. However, that goes to show how impressive he was during the time he did have on the field.

In three games, Daniels had 705 passing yards and five passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 74 yards. Now, if he can stay healthy and play a full season for the Jayhawks, there is some belief that he’s going to be able to help lead Kansas to new heights in the Big 12.

QB Kaidon Salter, Liberty 90 Overall

The only Group of Five quarterback who is among the eight highest-ranked QBs in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game is Kaidon Salter. This comes a season after he led the Flames to a New Year’s Six Bowl. Now, the goal is to become the G5 champion in the expanded Playoff.

Kaidon Salter is an athletic QB who threw for 2,876 yards and 32 touchdowns last season while running for 1,089 yards and 12 touchdowns. That type of player is often a favorite to play with and should help his team to thrive on the field and in the game.

All of the QBs listed here are in the top 100 players overall for the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game. That makes them among the best players in the country, regardless of position, who you can use in the game. That game, which will come out on Friday, July 19th after years of anticipation is bound to be more exciting because of how players like this can impact play, be it that they’re great for their running ability, big arms, or consistent talent across the board.
