With Oregon and Washington remaining as the only two teams left in the Pac-12 that control their own destiny, FanDuel has decided to release the early odds for the two team’s potential showdown in the Pac-12 Championship game next month.

According to FanDuel, the Ducks are 6.5 point favorites (-6.5) over the Huskies in their potential rematch despite Washington securing the win in their first matchup in Seattle earlier this season.

Oregon and Washington provided one of the best college football games of the season in Week 7, with Washington coming from behind in the fourth quarter to pull off the 36-33 win in front of their home crowd, and there’s no question that the college football community would not mind seeing a rematch between the two teams with a conference title on the line.

The Ducks and Huskies are the two most likely teams to make the Pac-12 Championship, with Washington boasting a flawless 10-0 record with two games remaining the regular season and Oregon’s only loss coming to Washington. But a few more dominos have to fall for both teams to make it to Vegas.

Washington clinches a spot in the conference championship game with a win over No. 12-ranked Oregon State on Saturday, but a loss to the Beavers paired with losses from both Arizona and Oregon would get the job done for them as well.

On the other hand for Oregon, a win over Arizona State on the road this weekend alone does not put them in the Pac-12 Championship game, as they would also need a loss by Arizona to put insert them into the title game.

The potential marquee championship game matchup between the two programs also has a strong chance of having College Football Playoff and Heisman Trophy ramifications as well.

Washington and Oregon are respectively ranked No. 5 and No. 6 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, both sitting just outside of the top four with an increased chance of making the cut with a big conference championship win to put a exclamation point on the end of the season.

Additionally, both team’s quarterbacks, Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix, have cemented themselves in a closely contested Heisman Trophy race, both rated within the top five of On3’s latest Week 12 Heisman Trophy Top-10 Poll.

The 2023 Pac-12 Championship game will be played on December, 1 in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at 8:00 p.m. ET and will air on ABC.
