4-star LB Elijah Littlejohn sets official visits to Penn State, Virginia Tech

West Charlotte (N.C.) four-star linebacker Elijah Littlejohn remains one of the top uncommitted prospects at his position in the 2026 cycle. He’s racked up well over 20 Power Four offers and is continuing to work towards his commitment.
Official visits will likely be crucial in helping the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder reach that decision, and on Tuesday, he announced that he’s locked in OVs to both Penn State and Virginia Tech.
He’ll make the trip up to Blacksburg and see the Hokies once more on the weekend of May 30, then go up to Happy Valley and see the Nittany Lions the following weekend on June 6. NC State has also set an official visit for June 20 to date.
Penn State is still newer to Littlejohn’s recruitment, as head coach James Franklin and the Big Ten program extended an offer earlier this month on April 17 while he was visiting. The Hokies jumped in the mix back in October and got him to campus for a spring visit a couple of weeks ago.
In-state North Carolina is another team looking to keep its contender status with Littlejohn. The likes of Ohio State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Alabama, Miami, Auburn, Georgia and Michigan are among those that have also offered the blue-chipper.
Littlejohn is the No. 312 overall prospect and No. 20 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 18 player in North Carolina.
He’s transferred to West Charlotte for his senior season after previously playing for West Mecklenburg. West Charlotte finished as the No. 6 team in North Carolina last season, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.
Penn State has Top-10 recruiting class in 2026 cycle
The Nittany Lions have already made their presence felt on the recruiting trail so far this cycle, owning 12 commitments that’s helped build a class that currently ranks No. 9 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

His teammate, four-star running back Messiah Mickens, has been pledged since Aug. 19, 2023. Despite the recent departure of PSU running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider, Mickens remains in the class and is a top-200 prospect and No. 15 RB overall.
Mcdonald (Pa.) Fort Cherry four-star safety Matt Sieg, Nazareth (Pa.) four-star athlete Payton Falzone and Pittsburgh Imani Christian Academy four-star athlete David Davis are three more elite in-state commits.
