Elijah Warner, son of Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, commits to Temple

Elijah Warner, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Kurt Warner, committed Wednesday to Temple.
Warner, who also goes by EJ, played his high school football at Phoenix Brophy College Preparatory. He threw for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns this past season.
“EJ is one of the sharpest and smartest football players I have ever been around,” Brophy College Preparatory head coach Jason Jewell told the Arizona Republic. “He absolutely loves football and is a student of the game.”
Kurt Warner served as the quarterbacks coach for Brophy College Preparatory the past three seasons, giving him the opportunity to coach his son.
Warner had a remarkable football career that was just given the Hollywood treatment with the feature film released last year. Zachary Levi plays Warner in the film, which received positive reviews from the critics.

Warner went undrafted out of Northern Iowa. He played three seasons of arena football with the Iowa Barnstormers, where he led the team to two ArenaBowl appearances.
He then worked his way on to the St. Louis Rams roster and then earned the starting quarterback job. He was a revelation, winning two MVPs and leading to the team to a Super Bowl Championship.
Warner would also lead the Arizona Cardinals to a Super Bowl appearance later in his career. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
