Elite 11 Finals 2023: Day 1 Live Updates
Day one of the Elite 11 Finals, featuring 20 of the nation’s top 2024 quarterback recruits, is set to start Wednesday evening in Redondo Beach, California.
There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2023, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles, which culminates with a 7-on-7 skills showcase where quarterbacks will throw to some of the nation’s top wide receivers, running backs and tight ends.
ELITE 11 FINALS COMPLETE ROSTER
Elite 11 alumni include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and more recently Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including three of the top five players at the position.
This year’s group features 12 of the top 20 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking and each of the country’s top seven passers. On3 is on hand for each of the next three days and will be providing live coverage throughout.

8:27 p.m. PT: “Notre Dame commit CJ Carr has a lot of ‘mmmph’ on his throws. He’s been drilling it all over the field with a lot of authority. Darts. A lot of twitch in his throws. Michael Hawkins has also been really accurate especially on these outside swings throwing in the middle of the field and outside of the numbers.” — Sam Spiegelman, On3 National Recruiting Analyst
8:24 p.m. PT: “Nebraska commit Daniel Kaelin has shown a concise, clean release and solid footwork.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

8:21 p.m. PT: “I’ll also add that we’re getting to see some blue-chip receivers out here catching passes. 2025 receiver Jaime Ffrench has made some spectacular one-handed grabs. Granted this is on air and there aren’t any defenders present but he’s shown some high-level ball skills needed to make one-handed grabs.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
8:21 p.m. PT: I’ve watched half of the quarterbacks come through my side of the field. It’s a station where they’re throwing flag routes, routes in the flat and deep-in routes in the end zone so I’ve had a good chance to see a lot come through. A couple standouts, Julian Sayin from a throw-to-throw basis was probably the most consistent. Extremely accurate with arguably the quickest release here and was just putting the ball on receivers consistently. Penn State commit Ethan Grunkemeyer arguably has the most velocity with the ball coming out of his hand that we’ve seen so far come through these stations. He was a stand out. Ohio State commit Air Noland was very solid. In terms of the highly-touted quarterbacks, Dylan Raiola and DJ Lagway have high-end arm talent. They were a little up and down in terms of accuracy but they showed some flashes.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
8:11 p.m. PT: “Jaime Ffrench has been impressive on the receiver side… back-to-back one handed catches.” — Chad Simmons, On3 Director of Recruiting
8:09 p.m. PT: “Julian Sayin has been the sharpest so far in this analysts opinion. Just on the money throughout and on various throws .. good mix of spinning it and taking it off with receivers. Also working with priority 2025 we target Jaime Ffrench.” — Sam Spiegelman, On3 National Recruiting Analyst
8:07 p.m. PT: “Early thoughts from Elite, Dylan Raiola after a slow start has really picked up the pace. He’s been absolutely sharp especially on downfield throws. He’s a really twitchy thrower with great command and accuary all over the field. DJ Lagway had some extreme twitch. Julian Sayin has been really accurate placing the ball wherever he wants on the field. Has a smooth delivery. Jadyn Davis has also been really accurate throwing on the mov and throwing with great acceleration and the ball comes out of his hands really well.” — Sam Spiegelman, On3 National Recruiting Analyst
8:07 p.m. PT: “Ethan Grunkemeyer and Air Noland shined during the second routes-on-air portion of the workout.” — Cody Bellaire, On3 Scouting and Rankings Assistant
