Elite 2024 CB Ellis Robinson IV transferring to IMG Academy

Ellis Robinson IV, considered one of the best players in the 2024 recruiting cycle, has announced he is transferring to IMG Academy.

Robinson spent the first two years of high school experience at New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona Preparatory School.

He announced the news on social media Wednesday.

Robinson is currently the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 does not rank high school sophomores during their fall seasons but does hand out grades. Robinson is one of 18 players who received a grade of 91 out of 100 in the initial On3 Watchlist for the class.

Two other cornerbacks received grades of 91 from On3. One of them, Desmond Ricks out of Chesapeake, Va., will be Robinson’s teammate at IMG.

Ricks is the only cornerback ranked ahead of Robinson in the On3 Consensus. Ricks is No. 2 in the ranking.

IMG Academy will now have three of the 18 players with a 91 grade in the 2024 cycle with Robinson Ricks and four-star running back Stacy Gage.
