Elite 2024 QB recruit Dylan Raiola picks up Ohio State offer
It has been a busy time for Burleson (Texas) High quarterback Dylan Raiola, who has picked up three offers from blue bloods over the past two weeks.
It was first offers from USC and Alabama last week. And now, Raiola snagged an offer from Ohio State while in Columbus, Ohio, for the Penn State game Saturday.
He also has been offered by Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
Raiola is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the 2024 recruiting cycle
“He’s the best young quarterback I’ve ever seen throw in person,” one Big Ten coach said.
Raiola was one of many star recruits in at the Horseshoe on Saturday night.
In the 2024 quarterback class alone, Dylan Raiola was joined by Adrian Posse of Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace and Jadyn Davis of Fort Mill (S.C.) Catawba Ridge. Davis and Posse have both already received an offer from the Buckeyes.
Beyond the 2024 quarterbacks, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star offensive lineman Earnest Greene, Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic four-star defensive lineman Hero Kanu, Altoona (Iowa) Southeast Polk consensus five-star safety Xavier Nwampka and Chicago IMG Academy 2023 four-star wide receiver Carnell Tate were some of the other notable names in attendance Saturday.

Dylan Raiola wasn’t the only underclassman quarterback Ohio State offered
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes staff also offered Findlay (Ohio) High quarterback Ryan Montgomery, a prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
Montgomery is the first quarterback to receive an offer from Ohio State in the 2025 cycle. The Buckeyes very rarely extend offers to quarterbacks that young.
The offer is the second major offer from Montgomery over the past week. While in South Bend for the Notre Dame-USC game, Fighting Irish quarterback coach Tommy Rees offered the high school freshman.
“This offer means a lot and it just shows the hard work I’ve been putting in,” Montgomery told On3’s Chad Simmons about the Notre Dame offer. “The hard work is paying off.”
