After a busy visit schedule in late March and early April, Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford four-star quarterback Matt Zollers will be announcing his college commitment.

Zollers told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons earlier this week that he has lined up four visits within the next couple of weeks. Destinations include Missouri (March 20), Pittsburgh (March 28), Penn State (March 29) and Georgia (April 2).

Now, he tells Simmons that he will announce his college decision on April 4.

“April 4 is not a special day,” Zollers told On3. “I was just going to take the day after the visits to sit down and discuss with my family about what is best.”

Zollers shares his thoughts on Georgia, Missouri, Penn State and Pittsburgh

The 6-foot-3.5, 200-pound Zollers broke down these four schools with Simmons last month.

Georgia: “It is definitely the winning culture at Georgia. Georgia is always the top of the top. Then the stability with the offensive coordinator (Mike Bobo) and head coach (Kirby Smart) stands out. As a player, you want it with head coach, but it is tough to get with the offensive coordinator. I feel Coach Smart and Coach Bobo are staying at Georgia, so that is nice too.”

Missouri: “The stability is strong at Missouri. They just extended Coach Eli Drinkwitz‘s contract, so he will be there for a while. I like how the coaches and the staff all work well together there too. They have a plan and know what they are doing.”

Penn State: “The biggest thing about Penn State is who is in the [quarterback] room. Coach Danny O’Brien just got promoted to quarterbacks coach and they also have Coach Andy Kotelnicki as the offensive coordinator. He has coached quarterbacks too, so getting two different points of view would be great there. They are great minds that work well together and I feel I could get developed.”

Pittsburgh: “At Pitt, I like the new hires. Coach Pat Narduzzi got some new coaches, some new people in recruiting and I think the staff will do a great job moving forward. I like the offense, Coach Kade Bell really likes to throw it around and that would be nice.”
