Elite Texas-based recruits Dakorien Moore and Devin Sanchez are both top-10 players in the 2025 recruiting class.

In recent years, each five-star’s high school program has traded victories inside of AT&T Stadium in December, with Sanchez’s Galena Park (Texas) North Shore coming out on top in 2021 with Moore catching a key pass as Duncanville (Texas) captured the win last December.

Sanchez and Moore are not only ranked Nos. 1 and 2 inside the state of Texas for next year’s recruiting cycle but Nos. 7 and 10 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The two elite juniors are aiming to lead their respective squads back to Jerry’s World the next two Decembers to keep the North Shore-Duncanville rivalry strong.

After two showdowns as underclassmen, the idea of teaming up on Saturdays is a nuanced idea that’s come over the two elite Texans.

“We talk about … not too much, but we’ve talked about it,” Sanchez told On3. “I would love to be that dude’s teammate and go up against that dude every day at practice. He’s arguably the best in the 2025 class — and there ain’t nobody who has speed like that, hands like that — big hands, 3X hands, and he catches everything. Why wouldn’t you want to guard that every day?

“Going against the people I guard at practice makes me who I am today,” added Sanchez, the nation’s No. 2-rated 2025 CB out of North Shore. “I’m the top corner going against top dudes like that every day, so I’m used to it.”

Both Sanchez and Moore have national offer sheets with contenders in play from coast to coast. Among the notable shared interests include Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU and Alabama, among others.

It’s early in the recruiting process for both blue-chippers, but shared aspirations and navigating similar paths have certainly bonded them.

“Whatever school we go to, if we’re both on the same team, we might just get drafted at the same time,” Moore asserted. “We’re gonna go and get each other better the whole year and every time we step on the field, we’re gonna give everyone a show.”

“Iron sharpens iron,” added Moore, the nation’s No. 2-rated receiver. “It’s the lingo.”

This offseason, both Sanchez and Moore have continued on their own respective journeys while also staying abreast of their counterparts.

“That guy right there,” Sanchez started … “We’re rivals. It is what it is, but he’s like my brother. We talk a lot and when it comes to Dallas, we’re gonna play against each other and ball out. When the ball snaps, we’re not friends, but after the game, we talked on the field and we were chopping it up. We’re some of the top guys in the 2025 class so why not be friends?

“It’s fun going through it,” the five-star cornerback affirmed.

“We talk about it always,” added Moore.
