Elite USC QB commit Julian Lewis returns to Colorado for another visit
Carrollton (Ga.) four-star quarterback Julian Lewis is back at Colorado visiting the Buffaloes for their game against Cincinnati on Saturday night.
It’s the fourth documented trip to Boulder this year for the USC commit, who remains solid with the Trojans despite the Buffaloes and Indiana pushing heavily down the stretch.
Multiple high-profile programs have worked to flip Lewis since he committed to USC on Aug. 22, 2023. The likes of Georgia, Alabama and Auburn all pushed at different points this year, but it’s Colorado that’s now viewed as the biggest threat to sway him away from Los Angeles.
From head coach Deion Sanders to offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and the rest of the CU staff, Lewis has felt the love from the Buffaloes and continues to consider the Big 12 program.
“A Gatorade National Player of the Year Finalist a year ago and the winner in the Peach State, Lewis sees an opportunity to compete for the starting job in year one at Colorado and he’s talked highly of offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur in the past,” On3’s Steve Wiltfong wrote earlier this week.

Colorado has already received good news on the recruiting trail this week, as four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson announced his commitment right before kickoff on Saturday. Three-star defensive lineman Christian Hudson flipped from UCF earlier this week, too.
“What excites me the most is the opportunity to go somewhere in the air-raid offense and start,” Wilson told Wiltfong of his decision.
