The LSU Tigers suffered a significant blow to their offensive line on Saturday against UCLA. Star right tackle Emery Jones, who is a projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, hobbled his way into the medical tent in the second quarter. During the television broadcast on ABC, Jesse Palmer updated his status. Good news for Tiger fans, Jones returned to the game at the start of the second half.

Coming into the 2024 campaign, Jones had started 24 games since his first career start against Mississippi State in Week 3 of the 2022 season. He earned second-team All-SEC honors as a sophomore in 2023 after earning freshman All-SEC honors in 2022. Last year, Jones played a critical role in helping Jayden Daniels win the Heisman Trophy and setting a SEC record for total offense per game (412.2).

In 2023, Jones started 12 games at right tackle for the Tigers.
