Paul Finebaum blasts Deion Sanders, Colorado after Nebraska loss: 'This is a big deal'
Colorado was blown out by Nebraska on Saturday, falling behind 28-0 in the first half and ultimately losing 28-10.
There was plenty of hype around Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes heading into the season, but it’s been a disappointing year thus far.
ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum joined SportsCenter Monday afternoon and was asked if everything is fine with Deion Sanders and Colorado. The question was an easy one for Finebaum to answer.
“You know the answer to that… It’s not fine,” Paul Finebaum said. “And all the acolytes of Deion can act like, ‘Well this is no big deal.’ This is a big deal.”

Colorado has now lost seven straight games against FBS opponents dating back to last year after falling to the Cornhuskers in Lincoln.
Finebaum was not shy about the fact that he believes Colorado is in a bad spot.
“They got just run out of the stadium against a program that hired Matt Rhule pretty much around the same time that Deion went in there,” Finebaum said. “Matt Rhule got bushwhacked last year. He returned the favor.”
Colorado beat Nebraska 36-14 last season, but it was the Cornhuskers who won by three scores on Saturday, and Finebaum believes the Colorado program is in trouble.

Paul Finebaum predicts Deion Sanders will leave Colorado after this season
After narrowly defeating North Dakota State in Week 1, Colorado fell 28-10 to Nebraska on Saturday. During an appearance on “The Matt Barrie Show,” Paul Finebaum made a bold prediction about head coach Deion Sanders’ future with the program.
“I don’t think Deion Sanders will be there next year,” Finebaum said. “This season, when they fail to go to a bowl game, he’s going to look around and try to find an exit strategy. No more Travis [Hunter], no more Shedeur [Sanders] — what’s the motivation for him to beat himself up? So, I think enjoy the Deion show. It will be playing somewhere next year. It may be off Broadway. It may be on Broadway. But it won’t be in Boulder.”
Colorado came out flat against Nebraska, only recording 260 yards of total offense. For reference, the Buffaloes tallied 454 yards in their win over the Huskers last season.
The Buffaloes never found a rhythm in the ground game against Nebraska, recording 16 total rushing yards in the loss on 22 attempts. Worse, Colorado’s offense committed two turnovers, one of which was a pick-six in the first quarter.
