ESPN College GameDay announces Keegan-Michael Key as Week 10 celebrity guest picker

ESPN College GameDay has named its guest picker for a massive showdown between No. 3 Penn State and No. 4 Ohio State this weekend in Happy Valley.
Joining the show will be famed comedian Keegan-Michael Key. The show announced the news in a tweet on Thursday afternoon.
Key has been in several hit TV shows, including Key & Peele, which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for. He has also been in Mad TV, Playing House, Friends from College and Reboot. He even had a smaller recurring role in Parks and Recreation.
Perhaps most interestingly, Key has doubled as Penn State coach James Franklin in the past in various skits. You can check one out here and below.
With that in mind, he should add some definite levity to a set that already has plenty of it thanks to the presence of host Pat McAfee.
In terms of the setting for College GameDay on Saturday, it’ll be right at the heart of college football.
Ohio State and Penn State are set to meet in a game that carries strong consequences for both teams. But while Ohio State already has a loss, Penn State is still undefeated and controls its destiny for the Big Ten title game.

For Ohio State coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes, it’s an opportunity to stay near the top of the Big Ten and avoid a second loss, which would hurt any College Football Playoff hopes.
“This is a great opportunity for our team to go play, and they’re going to see the same thing: a hungry team that’s gonna play really, really hard,” Day said. “And you know we gotta figure out the run game. But if our defense can play the way it did today, and we can run the football, and you know it’s gonna be what we’re looking for going to that game. So we got (to have a) great week of preparation, but that preparation starts now.”
ESPN College GameDay airs from 9 a.m. ET until noon. It covers the biggest games of the day and some of the most intriguing storylines in the sport, and there will be plenty to touch on this week.
The big game will follow shortly thereafter, with Ohio State and Penn State set to kick off at noon ET on FOX.
