ESPN College GameDay heading to Indiana at Ohio State in Week 13
EPSN College GameDay is heading to a Big Ten showdown with plenty of College Football Playoff implications in Week 13. The show will be in Columbus as Indiana takes on Ohio State.
Indiana and Ohio State are tied atop the Big Ten standings, meaning there’s a spot in Indianapolis on the line when they square off at The Horseshoe. It seemed like a likely destination for the show, especially since the Hoosiers have become the story of college football this year amid their impressive turnaround.
This will mark College GameDay’s first trip to Ohio State this year, but it’s the third time the Buckeyes will be featured in the game with the show in attendance. The program was in Eugene for the matchup against Oregon and in Happy Valley as OSU took on Penn State. GameDay also went to Bloomington for Indiana’s matchup against Nebraska.
Indiana was on a bye in Week 12 and brings a 10-0 record into next week’s matchup against Ohio State. The Hoosiers have put together an impressive turnaround under Curt Cignetti, ranking second in the nation with 43.9 points per game. The hot start also landed Cignetti a contract extension ahead of the coaching carousel, increasing his salary to $8 million per year through 2032.
“Honestly, they came to me, they were very proactive,” Cignetti said of Indiana coming with a contract. “Some people say, ‘Well,, why would you do that when this one may open, that one may open, and you’re going to be a hot commodity, blah, blah, blah.’ And the fact that matter is, we’re the emerging superpower in college football. Why would I leave?”

As for Ohio State, the only blemish on its resume was that game in Oregon, which came down to the final seconds. Since then, the Buckeyes have taken care of business, including a key victory over Penn State to stay in the middle of the Big Ten race.
In Week 12, Ohio State and Northwestern squared off in a unique setting. They played at Wrigley Field as NU works toward a new stadium, and the Buckeyes cruised to the 31-7 behind a big game from Chicago native Carnell Tate. He had 52 yards and two touchdowns to lead the charge.
Indiana at Ohio State is shaping up to be the highlight of the Week 13 slate of games. It will kick off Nov. 23 at Noon ET on FOX.
