ESPN College GameDay: Picks for Week 3, LSU at South Carolina
ESPN decided to bring College GameDay to Columbia, South Carolina in Week 3, with a gigantic SEC clash between the LSU Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks on the docket.
The crew welcomed Gamecocks women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley to the desk as the Celebrity Guest Picker for this weekend’s iteration of the show. While there might not be any suspense for who she’s picking, the matchup between South Carolina and LSU will certainly be a polarizing one, as both teams could use a win.
In addition to the SEC showdown, other exciting games on the schedule include Alabama taking a trip to Camp Randall to face Wisconsin, and Georgia facing Kentucky in a clash that many thought would’ve been College GameDay’s destination. Check out the full picks for Week 3 below, as another Saturday is upon us.
ESPN College GameDay Picks for Week 3:
LSU at South Carolina: Herbstreit is calling the game, so he’s not making a pick, but the rest of the desk had to put their money where their mouth is. Howard and Saban are on the Tigers, while McAfee and Staley are rocking with the Gamecocks.
Who would Corso rock with? He chose the Tigers, much to the chagrin of the South Carolina fans inside the stadium.

Colorado at Colorado State: Deion Sanders will lead the Buffaloes against the Rams on Saturday in what should be an emotional affair. Howard and Herbstreit believe Colorado State will send him home with a loss.
Alabama at Wisconsin: The Crimson Tide are headed to Camp Randall, where Wisconsin is hoping to pull a two-touchdown upset. However, the whole GameDay crew is on Alabama, not believing the Badgers can get it done.
Texas A&M at Florida: Both SEC squads need a dub in this one, but only one of the Aggies or the Gators can get the victory. Howard, Saban and Corso are on Florida, while McAfee, Staley and Herbstreit are on Texas A&M.
Notre Dame at Purdue: Can the Fighting Irish bounce back after a humiliating loss last weekend? McAfee is the lone dissenter, rocking with the Boilermakers.
Oregon at Oregon State: The Ducks haven’t been overly impressive in 2024, but they’re still projected to be one of the top teams in the country, and the entire crew believe they’ll beat the Beavers on Saturday.
Washington State at Washington: Saban and Herbstreit believe the Cougars can shock the Huskies in Seattle.
Tulane at Oklahoma: It’s a huge opportunity for the Green Wave, but the entire crew is on the Sooners this weekend, ahead of their clash with Tennessee next weekend.
Cincinnati at Miami (OH): Howard and Saban believe in the RedHawks, but the rest of the crew are on the Bearcats.
Memphis at Florida State: The Seminoles need a win and they’re favored, but only Howard, Corso and Herbstreit believe Mike Norvell can defeat his former program.
