Final Thoughts Before Week 7

An undefeated Pac-12 showdown is on the docket for Saturday, so of course ESPN was looking to give it the College GameDay treatment.

The Oregon Ducks are in Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies, and Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, Pat McAfee and company wanted in of the fun. It’s going to be an exhilarating showdown when Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. lead their respective teams into battle, and whoever comes out on top will have a leg up in the Pac-12 race.

Elsewhere in Week 6, the fellow Pac-12 contender USC will take their show to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the North Carolina Tar Heels will look to remain undefeated in a gigantic primetime showdown against the Miami Hurricanes, as well.

Joining the fray on College GameDay this morning as the Celebrity Guest Picker was actor Joel McHale. Following in the footsteps of his friend Ken Jeong from earlier this season, McHale was enthusiastic and brought his best college football knowledge to the set on Saturday. It was his third time serving as the Celebrity Guest Picker for College GameDay, so we’ll see if he fares better than his first two appearances.

An intense slate is ahead of us in Week 7, and the College GameDay crew has locked in their picks for the biggest games. Here’s who they’re riding with on Saturday.

CGD Predictions for Week 7:

Oregon Ducks at Washington Huskies: In one of the biggest games of the college football season, Howard started things off by picking the Huskies. McAfee followed suit by rocking with Michael Penix Jr. and company, and McHale, doused in gold and purple body paint, shouted “Washington owns you Oregon,” while choosing his beloved squad.

Meanwhile, Herbstreit is calling the game, so he’s not picking a winner, but the crowd was up and ready for Corso’s mascot prediction, where his beloved Duck was available, who’s been so good to him in the past. However, he went against the grain, picking the Huskies as the crowd lost their minds.

Arizona Wildcats at Washington State Cougars: Howard and McAfee are rocking with the Wildcats.

USC Trojans at Notre Dame Fighting Irish: USC wasn’t exactly popular in Seattle, but Howard, Corso and Herbstreit believe the Trojans leave South Bend victorious on Saturday.

UCLA Bruins at Oregon State Beavers: Corso and Herbstreit believe UCLA will get the victory on the road.

Texas A&M Aggies at Tennessee Volunteers: Only McAfee is riding with the Aggies on Saturday.

Auburn Tigers at LSU Tigers: In a showdown between two of the SEC’s Tigers, everyone is riding with LSU.

Missouri Tigers at Kentucky Wildcats: McAfee, Corso and Herbstreit are rocking with the Wildcats, while Howard and McHale are on the Tigers.

Iowa Hawkeyes at Wisconsin Badgers: In a huge Big Ten showdown, only McHale has the Hawkeyes over the Badgers.

NC State Wolfpack at Duke Blue Devils: Riley Leonard won’t be on the field, so only Herbstreit has the Blue Devils getting the win.

Miami Hurricanes at North Carolina Tar Heels: Can the Hurricanes rebound after their demoralizing loss last weekend? The College GameDay crew isn’t betting on it, as they’re all taking the Tar Heels.

Wyoming Cowboys at Air Force Falcons: Only Howard was willing to ride with the Cowboys on Saturday.
