ESPN College GameDay: Picks for Week 9, Washington at Indiana

ESPN broadcasted a historic version of College GameDay during Week 9, having an awesome time in Bloomington, Indiana for the first time ahead of Washington paying a visit to undefeated Indiana.

Joining the crew as the Celebrity Guest Picker on Saturday was former Hoosiers baseball player turned World Series champion Kyle Schwarber. The current Major League Baseball slugger and multi-time All Star played on the diamond for Indiana, starring mostly with his bat, helping guide Indiana to an appearance in the College World Series in 2013, the lone appearance in school history. 

Additionally, it was a special morning for Lee Corso, who headed home for the first time after coaching Indiana from 1973-82, going 41-68-2 as head coach. Corso’s tenure included a No. 19 final AP Poll ranking in 1979 and a Holiday Bowl victory, and in 2024 he was finally able to bring College GameDay to Bloomington.

Washington at Indiana: Kurtis Rourke is out, will that be enough to stifle the Hoosiers offense? Howard and Herbstreit are on the Huskies, while Saban, McAfee, Schwarber and Corso are rocking with Indiana on a historic afternoon.

LSU at Texas A&M: Herbstreit isn’t picking the game because he’s calling it, but the rest of the crew is spilt, with Howard, Saban and McAfee on the Tigers, while Scharber and Corso are on the Aggies.

Texas at Vanderbilt: This game has some surprising juice, but there isn’t anyone on the set who would go as far as to pick the Commodores in Week 9.

BYU at UCF: The Cougars are a surprising underdog in Orlando, and Corso is the only one who thinks they won’t pull the upset, as he’s riding with the Knights.

Cincinnati at Colorado: A huge Big 12 clash between the Bearcats and Coach Prime’s bunch, and the whole crew is on the Buffaloes in Boulder.

Penn State at Wisconsin: Will anyone pick the Badgers? The answer is no, as the whole crew is riding with the Nittany Lions.

Illinois at Oregon: Everyone is on the top team in the country, riding with the Ducks.

Missouri at Alabama: Can the Crimson Tide avoid a demoralizing third loss? The whole crew believes in them to get it done against the Tigers.

Notre Dame vs. Navy: The Fighting Irish will take on the Midshipmen at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in a huge contest. McAfee and Schwarber are on Navy, while the rest of the crew are rocking with Notre Dame.
