The 2022-23 college basketball season has only been over a couple weeks, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to look ahead to the 2024 NCAA Tournament. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released an updated look at his 2024 Bracketology Tuesday in light of multiple NBA Draft decisions.

In the early look, Duke is Lunardi’s No. 1 overall seed after the return of Kyle Filipowski and the departure of Adama Sonogo from UConn, which stays on the one-line. Michigan State and Marquette are the other two No. 1 seeds in Lunardi’s projection. More draft decisions are sure to come, though, as some big name prospects — including Purdue big man Zach Edey and Kentucky star Oscar Tshiebwe — opted to maintain their eligibility while declaring for the draft.

The Big Ten has nine teams in the projection while the Big 12 and SEC had seven teams make the cut, according to Lunardi. The Big East received six projected bids while the ACC and Pac-12 both had five teams in the Bracketology field.
