There are now just 11 undefeated teams remaining in college football going into Week 8 and ESPN ranked them all.

There are not going to be 11 undefeated teams by the end of the season, it’s just impossible. In fact, two of them play each other this weekend so this list will be a little shorter next week.

Let’s dive into ESPN’s ranking of the remaining undefeated teams in college football.

1. Michigan (7-0)

(Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK)

The Wolverines rolled to another win over a Big Ten foe, this time a 52-6 win over Indiana. In four conference games, Michigan’s only allowed 31 points while scoring 180.

There doesn’t appear to be a weakness on this team right now. With the way Jim Harbaugh puts it, he’s got the best quarterback and it could lead to a national title.

2. Ohio State (6-0)

The Buckeyes are neck and neck with Michigan right now. At this rate, both teams could be undefeated going into the final week of the regular season.

“The Game” is what everyone wants to point to. Both offenses and defenses are starting to click. Although there’s a third Big Ten team that wants to spoil the party.

3. Washington (6-0)

(Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports)

Washington earned the biggest win of the weekend by beating rival Oregon. It came down to the wire so the rematch could play very similarly or even go the other way.

Michael Penix Jr. is firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation, if not the favorite right now. At this pace, Washington is heading to the College Football Playoff.

4. Georgia (7-0)

(Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports)

The two-time defending champions are down a little bit despite sporting an undefeated record more than halfway through the season. A less than stellar victory over Vanderbilt puts the Bulldogs behind the previously mentioned three.

The only truly impressive victory was a blowout over Kentucky. But still, Georgia keeps winning and perhaps the Bulldogs will get hot at the right time.

5. Penn State (6-0)

(Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports)

There’s the other Big Ten team we talked about. The Nittany Lions are respected this year but have yet to be in the same breath as Michigan and Ohio State.

That’s at least from the general consensus, but Penn State could certainly upset the apple cart. It starts this weekend when James Franklin and company visit the Horseshoe.

6. Oklahoma (6-0)

(BRYAN TERRY/THE OKLAHOMAN / USA TODAY NETWORK)

The Sooners had a week off after knocking off Texas in the Red River Rivalry. Right now, Oklahoma is the favorite in the Big 12.

However the Sooners, at this rate, will have to play Texas in a rematch in the conference title game. That game could’ve went either way, hence why the Sooners aren’t ranked higher at the moment.

7. Florida State (6-0)

(Alicia Devine/Tallahassee Democrat / USA TODAY NETWORK)

Florida State was impressive in its blowout win over Syracuse. If you look at the teams from five through seven, they could very well be interchangeable.

The good news for Florida State is the team has a Heisman contender at quarterback in Jordan Travis and a heck of a lot of play makers. Ever hear of Keon Coleman?

8. North Carolina (6-0)

(Nell Redmond-USA TODAY Sports)

North Carolina could make strides if it keeps up at its current pace. This could very well be Mack Brown’s best team since he returned to Chapel Hill.

Drake Maye is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and he’s starting to hit a stride. Not to mention Tez Walker is eligible and just scored three touchdowns in one game. A huge addition at wide receiver.

9. Air Force (6-0)

(Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports)

Time to really start paying attention to Air Force this season. Halfway through the year, the service academy is undefeated.

Going into Week 8, Air Force takes on Navy as it tries to take the Commander in Chief trophy. In fact, two of the next three games are against rivals. We’ll reevaluate in a few weeks if the Falcons are still unbeaten, a good shot.

10. James Madison (6-0)

(Hannah Pajewski-USA TODAY Sports)

The Dukes ran away from Georgia Southern last weekend 41-13. The wins keep piling up for James Madison.

Coming up next, Marshall on Thursday night on the road before hosting Old Dominion on a longer week. Can this team go all the way and finish unbeaten? They’ve been solid so far.

11. Liberty (6-0)

(Liberty Athletics)

Jamey Chadwell going from turning Coastal Carolina into a top tier Group of Five program right to a six game winning streak with Liberty is great stuff. The Flames dominated Jacksonville State last week on a Tuesday and take on Middle Tennessee State this evening.

Sounds like this team is going to roll through the schedule. Of course, the quality of opponents isn’t exactly what others are playing, but give this squad its due!

The game to look at, of course, is Penn State at Ohio State. The winner gets an inside track in the Big Ten while the loser is going to need some help. Who will come away unscathed?
