WATCH: ESPN releases 2022 college football anthem, hype video
With less than a month to go before the first kickoffs of the 2022 college football season, ESPN released the ultimate hype video for fans.
The 2022 college football anthem manages to capture all of the craziness of the offseason. It highlights the biggest transfers like Caleb Williams and Spencer Rattler, NIL drama, the new Power Five head coaches and some of the biggest storylines heading into the season.
The hype video starts with new USC head coach Lincoln Riley’s voice saying, “I truly believe there’s nothing like it in the country,” and only heats up from there. Check out the full video:
ESPN doesn’t carry any major Week 0 games, however, ESPN’s College GameDay will be at Alcorn State versus N.C. Central. They’ll broadcast one of the key games on Sept. 1 between West Virginia and Pitt.
On Sept. 2, the main ESPN channel carries Western Michigan versus Michigan State, then TCU versus Colorado.

Ohio State and Notre Dame will have a ton of eyeballs for their 2022 season-opening matchup in Columbus on Sept. 3. The marquee matchup got the 7:30 p.m. slot on ABC opening weekend and College GameDay will host from the Ohio State campus.
On top of Ohio State-Notre Dame, the official opening Saturday of the season has several key matchups like Oregon–Georgia (ABC), Arkansas–Cincinnati, and Utah–Florida. The reigning national champions take on their former defensive coordinator Dan Lanning while the Gators try to start things off on the right foot under Billy Napier.
The football doesn’t end there though. ESPN broadcasts another primetime matchup on Sunday between LSU and Florida State from the Superdome in New Orleans.
