ESPN reveals updated bowl, College Football Playoff predictions following wild Week 9

November is right around the corner, meaning the College Football Playoff and bowl season are growing ever closer as well. With Week 9 now behind us, ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach released their updated projections heading into the final month of the regular season.

Bonagura and Schlabach agree on three currently undefeated teams to make the Playoff at this point in Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State. When it comes to the fourth team, Bonagura has TCU facing the Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl, while Schlabach has Tennessee taking on the Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl. The Volunteers are set to face Georgia this week in a pivotal game for their Playoff hopes.

Both writers also have Tulane making the Cotton Bowl out of the AAC. The Green Wave (7-1) are currently No. 19 in the country and earned a win against No. 13 Kansas State earlier in the year.

Projections can change dramatically with just one Saturday’s worth of games and plenty more will change between now and the conference championships. Here is a look at how ESPN sees the playoff and postseason lining up after a wild Week 9.
