The Tigers actually received the most first-place votes in the AP Poll voting, but it wasn’t enough to reach the top spot. But maybe that’s not such a bad thing for Auburn. Every top ranked team has suffered upset losses this season. Baylor, who previously held the top ranking for multiple weeks, lost not only one, but two home games this week, becoming the first top ranked AP team to do so.
The Big 12 has the most teams in ESPN’s latest Bracketology, with eight selections. There are seven selections from the Big Ten, SEC, and Big East. The ACC, WCC, and Pac-12 each have four selections, while the Mountain West has three.
