With Week 3 of college football officially behind us, ESPN released its updated top 25 power rankings on Sunday. It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly a month into the season, and we’re starting to get a clearer picture of who the contenders are this year.

Coming off of a 45-17 victory against Fresno State, USC leapfrogged both Michigan and Oklahoma to move into the top four of ESPN’s rankings along with Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State. The SEC leads all conferences with seven schools on the list.

Two more Pac-12 schools moved into the rankings after being left off of in Week 2. Oregon claimed a dominant 41-20 over BYU this week to go from unranked up to No. 13. Washington also surprised a lot of people by knocking off Michigan State, moving up to No. 19 while the Spartans fell to the bottom of the rankings.

Clemson and Kentucky moved ahead of Arkansas as the Razorbacks dropped two spots to No. 9 following a close call against Missouri State. Oklahoma State moved up two spots from its No. 12 ranking last week to round out the top 10.
