4-star IOL Esun Tafa schedules three official visits

Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star interior offensive lineman Esun Tafa backed off a commitment to Washington earlier this month.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder is back on the board, but he’s still got a few schools that are at the top of his process entering the spring. On Thursday, he told 247Sports’ Blair Angulo that he’s set three official visits for the summer.
Tafa will reportedly take OVs to Washington (June 6), USC (June 13) and Utah (June 20).
He originally committed to Jedd Fisch and the Huskies on Nov. 25, choosing them over Oregon and Utah. Shortly before decommitting, Tafa landed an offer from USC. He told On3’s Scott Schrader earlier this month that he’s also planning to visit the Trojans during the spring.
Tafa is the No. 198 overall prospect and No. 14 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Utah.

The likes of Michigan State, BYU, Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa State, Miami and Oklahoma State have also offered Tafa.
The blue-chipper is now a back-to-back state champion at Corner Canyon. The Chargers finished 2024 with a 13-1 record, defeating Lone Peak 30-27 at the end of November for another state title. Corner Canyon ranked as the No. 8 overall team and top-ranked team in Utah, according to the On3 Composite.
Corner Canyon has continued to churn out top prospects. The 2025 class saw five-star wide receiver sign with Jerome Myles, while three-star tight end Jordan Vyborny signed with Oklahoma State. Four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga is now entering his senior season alongside Tafa and is currently committed to Texas A&M.
Before decommitting on Feb. 5, Tafa was one of six prospects in Washington’s 2026 recruiting class. USC already has nine commits in its class that ranks No. 2 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Utah is currently without a commit in its 2026 class.
