Jackson (Miss.) quarterback Landon Duckworth has become the top quarterback target for Ole Miss this cycle. He was back on campus for two and a half days this week, and his second visit to Oxford was strong, just like the first.

“I left on Friday and on this visit, I saw practice, hung out with the players and spent more time with the coaches,” Duckworth told On3.

Nothing has changed. Last weekend at OT7, Duckworth said Ole Miss was No. 1 on his list. That remains the same.

“Ole Miss is at the top of my list right now. They are making me feel like their guy and that stands out to me. It is nice to know that a school wants me and is making me a priority. Their message to me on this visit was just to come to Ole Miss. They want me there and they are committed to me.”

Duckworth is not committed to the Rebels – yet. South Carolina is still in this and he is looking to get back to Columbia soon. Florida State, Georgia and some other schools are in the mix, but the SEC school in Oxford is the one all are chasing.

“I spent more time with coach Weiss this week and he showed me more stuff about quarterback development, the Ole Miss offense and what they do with quarterbacks.

“Me and coach Kiffin hung out too. He is a chill coach and we had a good time. We took some pics, hung out and just talked over some stuff.”

When asked about the highlights of this visit, the No. 53 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking said, “I don’t really have any specifics… everything was good.”
