Indianapolis Warren Central interior offensive lineman Cameron Herron made another visit Notre Dame over the weekend — this time for an official visit.

The On300 four-star lineman has been committed to Iowa since June 23 when he chose the Hawkeyes over Cincinnati, Louisville, Northwestern, West Virginia, Indiana and Purdue among others.

Following Herron’s visit to Notre Dame, On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has logged an expert prediction favoring the Irish to flip Herron away from Iowa.

Notre Dame now leads in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Herron with a 53.6% chance of ultimately landing his commitment.

“Notre Dame, they’re obviously a great program,” Herron told On3 last week about Notre Dame. “They definitely excite me.”

Herron is the nation’s No. 452 overall prospect, No. 34 interior offensive lineman and No. 8 recruit from Indiana in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 is significantly higher on Herron compared to the other major recruiting services. He is a four-star prospect ranked No. 272 nationally in the 2025 On300.

Herron moved into the On300 in September.

“Iowa IOL commit Cameron Herron moves into the On300 after several games of impressive senior film. Herron has plus length and is a big-time mover along the interior,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote about the 6-foot-2.5, 275-pound lineman.
