Top 2027 RB Ezavier Crowell reclassifying to 2026 cycle
Jackson (Ala.) four-star running back Ezavier Crowell is reclassifying up to the 2026 cycle, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Ranked as the No. 1 overall RB in the 2027 cycle, the 5-foot-11, 200-pounder is speeding things up a year and will now enter his final season of high school football this coming fall.
In the 2027 cycle, Crowell ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect, No. 1 RB and No. 1 player in Alabama, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
As a member of the 2026 cycle, Crowell ranks No. 177 overall, No. 15 at the RB position and No. 11 in the Yellowhammer State.
His offer list is already stacked, too. Auburn and Alabama have already had the in-state burner on campus plenty throughout his process, while the likes of Texas, Oregon, Ole Miss, Georgia, Ohio State, Miami and USC have also offered.

Crowell was a key cog for Jackson as a sophomore. He tallied 168 carries and ran for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. He also had 258 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The Aggies lost just one game in 2024 and claimed the Alabama 4A state title.
He excelled as a freshman for Jackson, too. He toted the rock 166 times in 2023, racking up 1,737 yards and 25 TDs on the ground to go along with 212 yards and four scores through the air.
Crowell is now set to join a cycle that’s already stacked with talent at the running back position. Nine of the top 100 prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking are RBs, as of Jan. 21. Crowell will join 27 other blue-chip burners in the cycle as the spring visit season nears.
