That notification you’re hearing is Buford (Ga.) 2025 linebacker Kenyon Rivera announcing another college offer.

Two weeks ago, Rivera had zero college offers. As of this story posting, he now has 13 offers from some of the powerful programs on the college level.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker has returned from an injury and stepped into a potentially larger role for the Georiga powerhouse in 2025. Rivera has snagged offers from Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Wake Forest and a few others.

Rivera is still swimming mentally as the offers come in on a daily basis.

“I am overjoyed and excited,” Rivera told On3. “I wasn’t expecting them to come this fast, but I worked hard to get here and they are very much appreciated.”

Rivera knows that now that there are offers attached to his name there will be an intrigue and an expectation for him to have an impact on the 2023 Buford Wolves.

Rivera doesn’t see his new offers as the destination. The college interest is more of a launch point for the talented rising junior.

“It’s made me more hungry and eager to reach the next level but I also have to remain humble and continue to put in the work,” Rivera said.

What’s next for Kenyon Rivera?

Rivera is too early in the process to really have a feel for the programs that he has an interest in. He’s set on taking in all the new interested programs and working from there this summer.

Rivera hasn’t been on many visits but has had some conversations about the campuses of the programs now in pursuit. A few immediately caught his attention.

“There are a few that have caught my attention but I’m interested in seeing more to come,” Rivera said. “A few of the facilities that have been described to me have caught my attention also information about the different programs and how they do things.”

Rivera plans on taking multiple visits this summer. He hasn’t set a calendar as of now. He’ll split between getting his first taste of multiple campuses and trying to prepare for a breakout season in 2023.

“My plan for the summer is to continue to work hard and improve my skills,” Rivera said. “I also plan to visit several of the schools that I’ve received offers from.”

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Tennessee as Rivera’s early leader. The Volunteers have an 11.3 percent chance of landing Rivera according to RPM.
