Ohio State has already established itself as a top contender for one of the nation’s top offensive tackle prospects.

Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge four-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo continues to hold the Buckeyes in high standing as he maneuvers through his recruitment. On Friday, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he is planning to officially visit Ohio State and that the Big Ten program is currently one of his top two schools.

“What stands out about Ohio State is the culture and how much of a priority I am for them. Especially when Coach (Justin) Frye left, the whole offensive staff called me that morning letting me know that they’re gonna find someone new quick and that I’m still a top priority,” Ojo told Fawcett.

Ohio State now joins Texas as schools that are set to receive OVs from the 6-foot-7 tackle. He’s returning to Austin for his official with the Longhorns on June 13. A date was not yet revealed for his return to Columbus.

Ojo is the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 5 OT in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Texas.

Despite the departure of OL coach Justin Frye, who left to become the new OL coach for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL, Ohio State is still standing out as a top destination for players of Ojo’s caliber. The amount of success that OSU has found under head coach Ryan Day had Ojo excited when speaking to On3’s Steve Wiltfong last month.

“Their run in college football means a lot to me,” Ojo told On3. “I love their direction they are taking in building their program … this excites me because I get a chance to possibly help build a program and follow what they’re doing.”

Ohio State is yet to land an OL commit in the 2026 cycle. In December, the Buckeyes signed three OL prospects: Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer four-star OT Carter Lowe, Washington D.C. Riverdale Baptist four-star IOL Jayvon McFadden and Westerville (Ohio) North three-star IOL Jake Cook.
