Tensions escalated and in a big way on Saturday night after the Jackson State and Alabama State game. Words were exchanged between both teams before an absolutely massive fight between both squads broke out. It’s hard to describe the chaos that ensued. The video below will do the trick.

It’s now been back-to-back weeks that Alabama State has gotten in brawls. First, in pregame against Grambling State and now against Jackson State postgame. JSU receiver Ja’Naylon Dupree hauled in two catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. Alabama State running back Daquon Kincey had 13 carries for 144 rushing yards and a touchdown. That was the best performance by any player on Saturday.

After the win, Jackson State now sits at 9-2 overall and 7-0 in the SWAC. It helped them to clinch the SWAC East title. Alabama State dropped to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the SWAC. Both teams didn’t clear 200 yards of offense on Saturday evening. They also combined to go 5 for 24 on third down conversions.

Jackson State quarterback Jacobian Morgan connected on two touchdown passes. He connected with Jameel Gardner Jr. for a 24-yard touchdown in the second quarter. And he tossed a 44-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Naylon Dupree to put his team up 14-3 midway through the third quarter.
