LOOK: Final Four ticket prices hit record high after Duke-North Carolina matchup becomes set
Not surpringly, ticket prices for the Duke vs. North Carolina Final Four matchup on Saturday, April 2 are currently selling for record prices. Tickpick posted a seat in the high ends of the upper deck going for $798. It’s pretty mind blowing that this is the first time the two teams will ever face off in the NCAA Tournament and this year, they’ll be doing it in the Final Four for a chance to punch their ticket to the National Championship Game.
The 2022 Final Four will be played in the Caesar’s SuperDome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The tweet was sent at 7:19 PM EST, so it wouldn’t be surprising for ticket prices to go even higher, to be honest. For one, it will be Coach K’s last appearance in the matchup between the two teams. Two, the matchup features two of college basketball’s biggest blue blood programs in a Final Four matchup. The prices for Coach K’s last home game in the Duke-UNC matchup in Durham, North Carolina were going for as much as $99,000.
Duke won the first matchup of the two teams and North Carolina won the second, so this game will be to settle the series for the whole season.

After defeating Arkansas and advancing to the Final Four, Duke star Paolo Banchero gave an amazing answer when asked who he would want to face next round. Duke defeated Arkansas 78-69 in a dominating performance, having built an 18-point lead midway through the second half. “You’re not gonna get me this time! But, I’m just proud of my team. We’ve been working since June for this. It’s really surreal that we’re here right now, on our way to New Orleans for the Final Four. It’s a dream come true.” Banchero was referring to the time he was asked about who he wanted to play in the ACC Championship Game. He said North Carolina and unfortunately for him, the Tar Heels lost in the ACC Tournament semifinals to the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Now, Duke and North Carolina are set to square off in one of the most anticipated college basketball games of the 2021-2022 season. Duke is currently a 4.5 point favorite for the matchup. Tip time is set for 8:49 PM EST on Saturday, April 2. The other matchup in the Final Four is between Villanova and Kansas. That one will tip at 6:09 PM EST on Saturday as well.
