First-Off-The-Bus Team: Cam Newton's Memorial Day 7-on-7
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton again attracted major talent to the Atlanta Metro area over the weekend for his annual Memorial Day 7-on-7 tournament.
The two-day event featured some future college stars up and down the lineup. There were plenty of top performers that made a statement with their play over the weekend.
There were also some athletes that fit the eye-catching category. These athletes are the ones you want getting off the bus first to send a little message to whoever is watching for your opposition.
Here are some of the players that turned heads before they ever played a down on Saturday and Sunday at Grayson.
2025 4-star LB Jonah Williams
Galveston (Texas) Ball 2025 four-star Jonah Williams has an unusual set of attributes when circulating the 7-on-7 ranks.
He’s 6-foot-3, 200-plus pounds. Williams didn’t play much linebacker. He was lined up at safety running with much smaller players.
He looked at home in space. Williams immediately had onlookers asking about his identity. Getting off the bus, Williams has the build of a major college athlete. Texas, Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee, and about a dozen others have already taken notice.
Williams is the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry rankings.
2025 4-star QB Deuce Knight
Lucedale (Miss.) George County four-star quarterback Deuce Knight shared a team with Williams this weekend.

Knight towered even more than Williams as a quarterback. The lefty from Mississippi stands 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds. Knight’s fastball also drew some attention over the weekend.
4-star 2025 DL London Merritt
Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy 2025 four-star defensive lineman London Merritt was running around playing wide receiver over the weekend.
Merritt is the No. 59 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry ranking as a defensive lineman. Merritt ran around at 235 pounds plucking footballs out of the air in the passing game. The four-star still has the agility of his former basketball background.
2024 4-star WR Terrell Anderson
Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley four-star wide receiver Terrell Anderson is an imposing wide receiver. The No. 113 overall prospect in the 2024 On3 rankings stands 6-foot-3, 185 pounds.
He appears to have a massive catch radius. Anderson snatches the football when he catches it. The ball sticks to his fingers.
2024 LB Taurean Davis
Southhaven (Miss.) DeSoto Central linebacker Taurean Davis looks the part. Davis passes every eye test. He possesses a chiseled frame, stands 6-foot-2, 225 pounds and runs a 4.5.
