Baltimore Georgetown Prep Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, the No. 2 prospect in the 2026 cycle, has made his first cut of top schools.
The 6-foot-6.5, 350-pounder told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday that he’s down to 11 schools: Oregon, Georgia, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Maryland, Florida, Miami, Auburn and Tennessee made the list for the elite trench monster.
Over the weekend, Iheanacho updated his recruitment with On3 at the Nike Next Ones event in New Orleans. Georgia, Penn State, Oregon, Alabama and Maryland are currently in line to receive official visits, while LSU, Miami and Texas A&M are battling to receive a sixth OV.
“I’d probably say how all the players fit. A bigger student feeling. I don’t talk to all the players a lot, so being able to see how the players really feel, obviously certain situations are different. Seeing how certain coaches are genuinely,” Iheanacho said when asked what he’s looking for on visits.
Iheanacho told On3’s Steve Wiltfong this month that Oregon is currently his leader, with Georgia and Penn State also at the top of his list. Official visits will likely play a crucial role in helping Iheanacho reach his decision later this year.

“I just love the whole dynamic, the whole campus at Oregon, the practice fields, how the weight room is set up, I love the strength and conditioning coach down there, it was straight love when I got down there. The gear is amazing, that’s not the most important part, but the gear is amazing,” Iheanacho previously said of the Ducks.
Iheanacho coming off impressive All-American showcase
Iheanacho helped cement his status as one of the top prospects in the nation with a big showing at Under Armour All-America week at the beginning of the year. He was named a top performer by On3’s Scouting and Rankings team.
National Scout Cody Bellaire wrote this of Iheanacho:
“Iheanacho came into Under Armour All-America week as one of the younger, more inexperienced prospects in the entire event. Despite the youth and lack of experience, he never looked like a fish out of water. The Five-Star Plus+ prospect started off strong on Day 1 of practice flashing great hand usage and balance in pass protection during the 1-on-1 period. On Day 2, he showed off his power and strength in the run game by moving defenders off the ball during inside run and team periods. Iheanacho still has some rawness to his technical rawness game, but the physical and athletic tools that he displayed throughout the week point to a very high ceiling when projecting to next level and beyond.”
