LSU is looking to get into the thick of multiple five-star recruitments this spring and it has already had multiple big-time prospects on campus this week.

Baltimore Georgetown Prep Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho continues to build a strong bond with Tigers DL coach Brad Davis. LSU remains on Iheanacho’s list of top schools and he got to spend time with head coach Brian Kelly and Co. on Tuesday.

The likes of Maryland, Oregon, Georgia and Penn State are at the top of Iheanacho’s recruitment right now. He tabbed the in-state Terrapins as his No. 1 school when speaking with On3’s Steve Wiltfong earlier this month. The Ducks were also labeled as the No. 2 team in his process, which the five-star knows will continue to remain fluid.

“It’s kind of funny, I’m trying not to be indecisive. First I liked Georgia a lot then Oregon and Maryland now is my top school Oregon still excites me and still intrigues me. They’re the school I have the best relationship with,” Iheanacho said.

As Iheanacho locks in his official visits, LSU is looking to work its way higher up his list. Getting the 6-foot-6.5, 350-pounder down to Baton Rouge for a visit is a good start.

The likes of Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, Auburn and Tennessee also made Iheanacho’s top 11 schools last month. He is the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“I’d probably say how all the players fit. A bigger student feeling. I don’t talk to all the players a lot, so being able to see how the players really feel, obviously certain situations are different. Seeing how certain coaches are genuinely,” Iheanacho told On3 last month when asked what he’s looking for on visits.

LSU currently has the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation, according to the 2026 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Six commits are in the class, all of whom are from Louisiana. Three top-100 prospects headline: New Orleans Edna Karr four-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson, Edna Karr four-star safety Aiden Hall and Gonzales East Ascension four-star OT Brysten Martinez.

Iheanacho coming off impressive All-American showcase

Iheanacho helped cement his status as one of the top prospects in the nation with a big showing at Under Armour All-America week at the beginning of the year. He was named a top performer by On3’s Scouting and Rankings team.

National Scout Cody Bellaire wrote this of Iheanacho:

“Iheanacho came into Under Armour All-America week as one of the younger, more inexperienced prospects in the entire event. Despite the youth and lack of experience, he never looked like a fish out of water. The Five-Star Plus+ prospect started off strong on Day 1 of practice flashing great hand usage and balance in pass protection during the 1-on-1 period. On Day 2, he showed off his power and strength in the run game by moving defenders off the ball during inside run and team periods. Iheanacho still has some rawness to his technical rawness game, but the physical and athletic tools that he displayed throughout the week point to a very high ceiling when projecting to next level and beyond.”
