Jordan Smith Jr. is the No. 2 ranked shooting guard and the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

This season, several colleges coaches have traveled to see the 6-foot-3 junior at his high school, Paul VI Catholic (Fairfax, VA).

The following schools have visited him:

To this point, Smith has visited the campuses of Duke, Louisville, and Syracuse.

Smith talks programs involved

In a previous interview with On3, Jordan Smith Jr. discussed a handful of the schools recruiting him.

DUKE: “It was really nice there. I went down to go visit Pat (Ngongba) and Darren (Harris). It was nice to see them and a great environment. They treated me like family there. It’s been really fun watching them play this year. I can see myself in Caleb Foster’s position. They told me to watch him and how he facilitates, gets downhill, and defends.”

LOUISVILLE: “The visit there was great, and I love the coaching style. It’s like a brotherhood there and. That means a lot in my recruitment, like how they treat players and how they react to each other. Coach (Pat) Kelsey has them playing a lot in transition, a lot of transition threes. They play fast like we play at PVI – Fairfax (VA) Paul VI – they want to be gritty defensively.”

SYRACUSE: “It was great up there, it’s like family. You know, that’s Takeover family up there so it was really fun to get up there. We went to a football game, it was nice, you know. I had never been to The Dome before, so just to be in there and see that, it was really eye-opening.”

GEORGETOWN: “They’re doing really well this year. I like how they’re playing with their point guard, Malik Mack. That’s opened my eyes and it’s really good to see how they’ve turned the program around. My relationship is really strong with them, I mean, it’s home, so I can see them more than these other coaches. Overall, it’s a pretty strong relationship.”

ARKANSAS: “I’m building a relationship with Coach Chuck (Martin), he texts me an calls. We’re building a good relationship. He is trying to get me to come down and visit. And Coach Cal (John Calipari) just wants me to get to my ultimate goal.”

What he’s looking for in a school

In that same previous interview, Smith discussed what he’s looking for in a college program.

“The big things for me are going to be playstyle, how the coaches treat their players, and the environment. I’m comfortable playing fast and getting up and down, but I want to go somewhere that plays gritty defense and a team that just plays really hard.”
